Walking Tours — Art & Sculpture Books in New Haven, CT
Each year, thousands of people from all over the world take the Yale Campus Walking Tour of this iconic, picturesque university. Founded in 1701, these one-hour tours are given mostly by Yale student tour guides. There are also groups of tourists on excursion trips taking the tour that have their own tour guides who travel with them. All tours are open to the public and are free of charge.

Tours are given every day of the year except on national holidays and in inclement weather. There is a tour on weekdays at 10:30 AM and 2 PM as well as on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 PM. Tour groups meet at the Yale Visitor Center, 149 Elm Street, adjacent to the campus, where they are greeted by a tour guide. While there, they are shown a very entertaining and informative Yale video before embarking on the tour. Eight-page, beautifully illustrated full color brochures about the tour are also available at the Visitor Center. Reservations are not necessary however special arrangements for large or multiple groups can be made in advance by calling the Yale Visitor Center at 203-432-2302.

All tours end at the Barnes And Noble Yale Bookstore on Broadway located in the heart of one of New Haven's fine restaurant and shopping districts where an endless selection of Yale memorabilia is available. Indeed, the perfect ending to a wonderful and unforgettable experience!
